The Final Curtain . . .

. . . has fallen. Lucky Dog Radio is no more. The server provided by my webcasting provider died and all of the more than 170 hours worth of tunes that were saved there have disappeared into the ether. So that's it.

If you listened with any regularity in the past you may have been aware that the bi-weekly programs were discontinued of my own volition at the end of last year. However, the Lucky Dog Well of Music, as those 170-plus hours of music were known, continued on. I had planned to keep it going at least until the end of this year, and perhaps into 2022, but now the decision on when to end has been brought on by factors I could not control.

I gave some thought to rebuilding the station and reuploading all of the music, but in the end it just didn't make sense. For reasons I won't bore you with, it would have been more complicated and time consuming than it was worth to make that happen. Especially for what would have been a limited run of time at best.

So we have reached the end of the line. Thank you very much to all who listened in over the past 20-plus years. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been given an opportunity to program my own radio station and provide some of the tunes that I have enjoyed over a long love affair with music and radio that began when I was just a young lad.

I'm gonna go hang up my headphones now. You take care.
